Our growth and success is the result of our commitment to offer the best possible customer service to the independent bicycle retailers and after-sales product support to the end consumers. We provide full warranty support for all the products we distribute and also operate as authorized service centers for a number of them.
We also support the local and regional bicycle industry through our involvement with advocacy programs and sponsorships of teams and national cycling events.
OUR HISTORY
The Ng family history in the bicycle business began in 1946 when Ng Hian Poo opened a bicycle shop at 72 Cecil Street in central Singapore. With the help of his two sons, the business rapidly expanded from basic servicing to retail sales of bicycles and parts.
In the 1960s, business boomed and a thriving cycling community was born. It also provided the company with an opportunity to enter the wholesale distribution side of the bicycle industry. Among the bicycles we sold is Legnano which has now ceased to exist as a company.
In 1980s, we moved to a larger facility at 313 Tanjong Katong Road to meet the demands of our growing business. Raleigh bicycle became the flagship brand we distributed.
In the early 1990s, the decision was made to focus on the parts and accessories side of the business, and we began to grow as a small regional distributor.
By the mid 1990’s we had established ourselves as one of the top regional distributors in the country, and moved into our current 6,000 square foot office/warehouse facility at 1 Kim Chuan Terrace.
In 1999, we became the sole distributor for Shimano in Singapore and started the Shimano Star Shop program that involved over 15 major bike shops in Singapore.
We have continued to grow over the past years by adding more product lines and offering more comprehensive support services. Today, these enhancements and our continued focus on customer service have propelled our business even further.
By end 2004, we are expecting to move into a new premise that will allow us to service our customers even better.
