Features
• Improved shock clearance (smaller bottom out knob
  and shorter overall reservoir length)
• Improved bump performance
• Critical decoupling of bottoming resistance and
  ProPedal adjustment
• A: Independent adjustable bottoming resistance with
      common hex tool.
• B: Independent click-adjustable ProPedal Damping
      via 15 click knob.
• C: Adjustable velocity sensitive shimmed rebound
      control with linear range.
• D: Adjustable tuning range via Schraeder (Adjusts
      ProPedal & bottom out range {Min & Max})
      Shimmed controlled compression damping to
prevent excessive wallow or dive effect.
• E: Precision sized bushings to eliminate break in and
      increase durability.

For 2006, FOX tightened up the packaging at the reservoir, allowing greater frame clearance. FOX also improved its unique Boost ValveTM tuning and technology. The Boost Valve increases compression damping as the shock compresses, creating a position-sensitive shock that allows efficient pedaling, ensures flawless square edge bump performance, and provides unsurpassed bottom-out resistance. The factory tuned rebound damping is controlled by a speed sensitive shim stack and is externally adjustable. Bushings are precision sized to eliminate break-in time and to ensure durability. The top of the line DHX 5.0 offers external bottom-out adjustment and a 15-click external ProPedal adjustment. On top of all this, the ProPedal and bottom-out adjustment are de-coupled, allowing them to operate independently from each other. This makes the shock setup for different courses and different riding styles easy and intuitive. Super fine-tuning on all models is also offered through air pressure adjustments in the reservoir, which will increase or decrease the entire compression damping characteristic. This allows for an even greater range of adjustments, which is perfect to help dial your shock in for a specific leverage ratio or suspension design. The bottom line - the DHX is the most versatile easily adjustable shock amongst the big-impact crowd, and at 90 grams lighter than the competition, it is also the lightest shock of its kind.
