First founded in 1946, Kian Hong Cycle is now a leading bicycle distributors in Singapore.

We represent over thirty cycling brands in Singapore and the region. Other markets we support include Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong.

Our growth and success is a result of our commitment to provide the best technical and marketing support to our bicycle dealers and after sales support to the consumers. After-sales support forms an important aspect of our business. Apart from being a distributor, we are also the full-service suspension Service Center for Fox Racing Shox.

In the local cycling scene, we are actively involved in sponsorships of national teams and major cycling events. This is our way of supporting the sport and giving back to the local cycling community.
 

OUR HISTORY

The history of Kian Hong Cycle dates back to 1946, when our founder Ng Hian Poo started a bicycle shop at 72 Cecil Street (the present Indian Overseas Bank Building) in downtown Singapore. With the help of his two sons, Hian Poo built up a family-based business from scratch by offering basic bicycle servicing and sale of bicycles and parts.

In the 1960s, business grew rapidly as a thriving cycling community was born. It also provided the company with an opportunity to enter the wholesale business. Among the bicycle brands we represented was Legnano - the Ferrari of the cycling world at that time.

As the company continued to grow, we moved to a larger shop at 313 Tanjong Katong Road in the 1980s. In those days, Raleigh was one of the flagship bicycles we distributed.

In the 1990s, the company gradually evolved into a regional distributor as we moved our focus onto a variety of parts and accessories.

By the mid 1990's, the need for more space as our number of products grew forced us to moved to a 3,000-sft warehouse facility at 1 Kim Chuan Terrace.

By January 2005, we expanded further and moved to the present 6,000-sft warehouse premise with showroom facility at Eunos Technolink.
